Name: Clayton Gumbert

Bio: I've been reading comics off and on for about 20 years and I'm currently on again. I'm mostly a Marvel Zombie, but pick up a few DC and Indie titles. Some of my all time favorite comics and runs are: Starman (James Robinson series, of course), Shade The Changing Man (the first baker's dozen or so), The Giffen-Dematteis JLA (including FKAJL and ICBINJL), Gruenwald's Captain America Run (until Armor Cap! I draw the line somewhere!) Waid-Garneys Cap, Brubakers Cap (That first issue brought me back to comics.), Milligan's X-Force, Gruenwald's Quasar, Byrne's West Coast Avengers, The first 25 issues of The New Warriors, SUICIDE SQUAD!, The Tick, Milk & Cheese, Dark Knight Returns and All-Star Superman. That's only a few. Oh, and Marshal Law. And the first Lobo mini. Right now I read all the Avengers titles, Incredible Herc, NOVA!, Walking Dead, Ghost Rider, Spidey, T-Bolts, Booster Gold, Cap, X-Men Legacy and a few others. Also, ask me about the status quo of any major Marvel hero between the years of 1989 and 1991 and you will never shut me up. Generally, people who don't understand the genius of MST3K or Calvin & Hobbes make me not believe in God. That and the fact that he doesn't exist. I only tolerate beautiful people who believe in God, because they have a reason to. And The British Office owns the American Office. Don't front.

April 27, 2009 6:32 pm I saw a preview of the art in this issue and it looks really good. I'm excited to see where this book goes now that the "new" Ms. Marvel is taking over.
April 24, 2009 3:46 pm My mind also immediately went to Brother Voodoo.
March 25, 2009 5:07 pm How did I not know this was coming out until this week!?!
March 19, 2009 5:05 am I agree with your review. If you don't mind me asking, what did you think of Fractions run on Punisher War Journal? That was a 616 version of the Punisher that I thought was interesting.
March 12, 2009 4:07 pm I was gonna review this issue, but I don't have to because you basically said everything I was going to say. This is a book I look forward to every month, and I'm totally disappointed.
February 27, 2009 9:09 pm The Punisher one made me laugh out loud.
February 27, 2009 3:34 pm I think Slott is trying to accentuate the rag tag aspect of the team by having The Hulk around. His leaping away from the team seems like an homage to his appearances in "The Defenders" series from the '70's. He'd always run away in a huff over some perceived slight. It got pretty tedious then, too.
February 20, 2009 4:45 am I also can't wait to read this issue.
