It’s always hard to write a review of Nova without spoilers, because Abnett and Lanning are always throwing suprises the readers’ way. In this issue, our hero is given some shocking news. Will the creative team really go through with this? I really don’t know. The status quo is always changing in this book, and that’s why I love it. As for the art, it’s never what I would call spectacular, but I will say that the two page splash at the beginning was really effective in capturing the awesomeness of what was transpiring. As you can see, I’m trying really hard not to spoil anything. Just give Nova a shot if you want to enjoy some good old fashioned comic booking done the Marvel way.
