February 25, 2013 3:35 pm Seconded - to both these points. Who did the covers to DnA'a Legion run? Love the way the rings are illuminating Darkseid's fingers.
February 24, 2013 6:19 am I'd be interested in a Robinson-written Outsider book as a 3-issue mini didn't seem long enough to do the character real justice. Having Martian Manhunter as his nemesis would provide a tie to the new JLA book too. I wonder if DC editorial would see the Outsider character as too much of a step back towards the old DC universe, though?
February 24, 2013 6:14 am I would definitely be onboard for a Zuriel and / or Aztek book. Both characters with loads of potential.
January 10, 2013 12:55 pm Ooops: Didn't read the rules! Kelley Jones takes the costume to its logical extreme. It's terrifying, visceral and brutal. Criminals won't be walking away intact from a beast like that; he's the ultimate bat, the ultimate fighter. The character's intelligence and detective skills are preserved as pure animal instinct.
January 10, 2013 12:50 pm If Batman's costume is designed to strike fear into the hearts of Gotham's criminal fraternity, it's Kelley Jones' rendition that would really make you question your career choices.
January 10, 2013 12:47 pm What a terrific summary of a really complex character history! I really like these magical characters in DC lore. The vagaries and inconsistencies in the back-stories just seems to fit with a mystical hero like Dr Fate. Love the nod to M.C. Escher in the 1992 image (PS tiny correction: the villain in Zero Hour was Extant not Extract.)
November 19, 2012 7:04 pm BQ - I'm not in the US. Isn't it a Pixar film?
November 13, 2012 1:20 am As far as I can recall, the plot of the Green Arrow book was that ex-junkie and all-round ladies man Roy Harper took chaste Conor Hawke out for a boys night on the town with strippers and booze. Hilarity ensued, but I don't remember any hobos being beaten to death with dead alley cats. That came later. For the record, I always really liked Conor Hawke.
