I read some really good comics this week.

And then there’s Mister Terrific.

It’s quite difficult to know exactly where to start on this pitiful book. The plot is confusing. The dialogue… The dialogue is simply woeful. No person alive or fictional has ever uttered a sentence so poorly constructed, hobbled by needless exposition or inexplicable jargon.
The art is nearly as bad; Mr Terrific is supposed to be a decathlete. Except that here, he has a face like a lumpen potato and the body of a 48 year old desk-bound bank manager.

The only positive thing I have to say about the book is that I quite like the design of the new villain Brainstorm. Otherwise, it’s all just dreadful.

In two short issues, this book has squandered every trace of good will I had for it. This reboot needs an un-boot, back to the smart, dynamic leader of the JSA with a nice taste in jackets.
