May 20, 2013 12:24 pm I'm enjoying the mystery of Mind the Gap right now. And Smoke & Mirrors played with a really interesting concept. Worth checking out!
May 17, 2013 8:21 pm Every time a creator walks from DC, it makes me feel depressed about the company. It feels like a rudderless ship... and the majority of the titles reflect that.
May 14, 2013 6:01 pm I guess I was hoping the creation of "DC Entertainment" was going to help integrate those two departments.
May 13, 2013 9:38 pm A crazy light week - only six books. But I haven't picked up my books from last week yet so that should offset that little problem! Besides, Wonder Woman and Batgirl are on this week's list. Always good reads! BQ: Her good heartedness. It's a tremendous thing.
May 13, 2013 9:32 pm Jus finshed it and have to agree the review is spot on. Really solid work...but man! I would love to see a little more time and linework in the art! It had moments...but they should up the ante a little more. The REALLY frustrating thing? Wondering why DC can manage to put out several of these per year - usually really solid if not stellar - yet can't seem to get the tone, character or even decent story for their live-action stuff? (I hope Man of Steel is a turning point for that though!(
May 13, 2013 5:56 pm I'll miss Dial H a lot. But it was a fun ride while it lasted. Demon Knights surprised me and I actually enjoyed it a fair amount as well. Not usually my genre. As for Legion? Well, it was.....just not good for too long. I was about to drop it but then the creative team changed and the Fatal Five always sucks me in. Now, I'll just see it through to the end. I give DC respect for trying some really different titles. And REALLY trying - there have been some great talent on some of these book (like Dial H). People just aren't buying. And the more narrow the offerings become. Thank goodness for some of the great indie works out there. But it's sad we don't get to see the plethora of great DC characters that populate such a vast comics universe.
May 2, 2013 10:53 am Come on. We all know it's Alfred!
April 25, 2013 12:49 pm I dunno.... the Captain America movie was pretty darn good too!
April 25, 2013 12:48 pm Whoops! I forgot when Thor is coming out. Oh, passage of time! Why must ye mock me?
April 23, 2013 9:36 am Nine titles this week, with Batman Inc. and East of West top of that list. As for the BQ: ham and pineapple. Can't go wrong!
