This week, I surprised myself: I made Swamp Thing 18 my Pick of the Week.

I wasn’t a long time Swamp Thing fan. I got on board because of Snyder and Paquette. This issue epitomizes the reasons why.

This is the REAL end of Rotworld. A single issue that combines action with character and some honest to goodness romance in there. There are touchstones to the past and changes that will indeed make the book a lot different going forward. All tied up beautifully by Snyder and Paquette, along with Fairbarn and Lanham. Each part of the team has their skills fully of display here.

A bittersweet ending – even more so for long-time fans – but a sense of hope and optimisim as wll. But at the end of the day, I simply enjoyed this book from first to last. And I’m looking forward to where it goes from here.
