I’ve reviewed this book a few times in the past, and do so again for one reason: it’s just darn good.

This issue isn’t a jumping on point for new readers, but it’s the definition of “game changer” as the BOP help the illness stricken Poison Ivy try to recover. But as is the case in dealing with a villainess, things can go awry.

Swierczynski continues to weave his magic, capturing the character voices and jumping forward and backward in time to great effect. Many times such jumping can be confusing but in this case, it’s paced exactly right.

The art is equally compelling as Travel Foreman and Jeff Huet balanced the beautiful lead characters with some rather twisted opposition thrilled to have Foreman here after falling in love with his work on Animal Man.

The bottom line is this is a great team book, with strong female leads that remains a consistently excellent read month in, month out. If you haven’t been reading, grab that first trade and dive in. It’s well worth it.
