August 17, 2011 7:44 pm I thought it was great. My POTW. It is exactly what I wanted in a one shot hellblazer story.
August 16, 2011 7:18 am This book gets better and better. I love when Bisley is on the interiors.
August 16, 2011 7:16 am The first issue was so awesome. Glad to see steve back in costume and the book back on the right track. I do think killing Bucky off like it was nothing was a cheap way to get him out from behind the shield. Especially for the guy everyone said couldn't be brought back to life the first time.
August 12, 2011 4:14 pm Awesome. Frankenstein being embarrassed about being a sap by his significant other, Frankie on a horse, frankenstein fighting robots. How can you not love this? The bummer is that Velcoro died and won't be in the reboot. I thought he had the most potential storytelling wise, for the on going. 4/5
August 12, 2011 1:04 pm I was surprised how much I liked this issue. 1 and 2 were very "eh". Not bad but not great. This issue really made me want to reread it all as a whole. Good elseworld story.
August 12, 2011 12:38 pm @heysodeburns - that is such a good call. I would buy the absolute for sure.
August 12, 2011 7:50 am Well worth my $2.99, for the cover. I'm actually dissapointed I read it. Toccini took me out of this one so much so that I felt like I didnt give Hine a fair chance at all. But that's what comics are. The coupling of 2 professions to make something entertaining. Bressen had some good work, but not a chance after reading through Toccini's mess. I did laugh out loud at the first page, something along the lines of "born a healthy, well-proportioned child...". Maybe if it wasnt Toccini on pencils that wouldn't be so silly. That baby looked like it should have gone from womb to a five gallon bucket full of battery acid. I feel like Toccini must have had some fantastic pencils at one point because he works on big books. I guess I need to wiki him and find some early work so I don't hate the name.
August 12, 2011 7:28 am Was anyone else crossing their fingers for a hug between Tim and Bruce? @skyfire124 - I would be so upset if Tim is separated from the batverse. He, to me, has the most interesting relationship with Bruce.
August 11, 2011 8:53 pm This was fantastic. I was in such love of Yost's run and nervous of Nicieza's following. But after reading his 14 issues, I'm loving this book as much if not more. What a great end to one of DC's best titles of the past 2 years. It's a bummer it seemed to be so under the radar. Sad to see it go. I feel like Tim really grew into his adult pants through this epic. Well done to all the creators that worked on this beaute.
August 11, 2011 7:45 am Yeah this was perfect. It's not often you get two amazing artists and a writer who can't let you down on one book. This run is something people will reference years down the road. I have a deep sadness to comic fans who didn't experience this as it happened. Crossing my fingers they end up with the trade.
