Pick of the Week #402 – Batman: Black and White #1
September 9, 2013 10:36 am I was so close to picking up Batman: Black and White but passed on it, I'll have to pick it up this week and give it a shot. It was nice to get a little Superior Spider-man on the show this week, I've been pretty much loving this book so far and it was realy cool to get a story with Spider-man 2099 this week. I loved Spider-man 2099 and I've heard this new story is generating a lot of interest in the character from people who never read it, and they are checking out the trades and back issues which is awesome.
Also, I only had one class in college were comics were part of the reading, five graphic novels were randomly assinged to the class, I can't remember what all five were but I ended up reading Road to Perdition, which I had not read, and I enjoyed it.

iFanboy Update: After 13 Years It’s Finally Time To Scale Back
September 4, 2013 12:54 pm Indeed. I've come to the site 5 times the past two days to make/check my pull list and see what the early rankings were for the books I'm getting before remembering there is none. This is going to take a while to get used to!

iFanboy Update: After 13 Years It’s Finally Time To Scale Back
September 2, 2013 3:43 am LOL, I dunno, the work I'll get done alone might eclipse that mark, I spent a lot of time on this site! But seriously, thanks again and the fact that you even took the time to respond to so many people just helps to show what a great site and community that exists here on this site, I will miss the daily content but as always, will look forward to the podcasts.

iFanboy Update: After 13 Years It’s Finally Time To Scale Back
September 1, 2013 5:39 pm I have to say this is very sad new for me but I completely understand. A huge THANK YOU to everyone on the iFanboy staff, this is by far my favorite web site and I am very glad to still have the podcasts. I guess my employer will be happy anyways, I'll probably get a lot more work done now.

James Spader is an Egomaniacal Artificial Intelligence in ‘Marvel’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron’
August 29, 2013 12:35 pm I like this. His voice touched up to sound more robot-like just seems perfect for Ultron.

Top 5: Best Comic Book Series… Right Now!
August 29, 2013 12:29 pm Well I better get in on this, in no particular order:
Star Wars
Superior Spider-man
Ultimate Comics Spider-man
Wolverine and the X-Men
Hawkeye
Superior Foes of Spider-man and Batman 66 could take over 2 of these spots if they continue to be so good, but I didn't feel right including them after only 2 issues.

CAPTAIN AMERICA #10
August 29, 2013 12:05 am Wow, this was a great ending to this arc. I was getting a bit tired of it around issues 7 and 8 but the last 2 really turned that trend around.
*Spoilers*
And holy crap Sharon is dead?! I wonder how long that will last, I can't see how they are going to bring her back from this but I'm guessing they will find a way eventually.

iFlashback! August 25th, 2004
August 26, 2013 7:53 pm It has actually come up again, though not often, and is still cannon. Gabriel Stacy (Norman and Gwen's son) made an appearance in the American Son story and there have been some other brief mentions of it in Dark Avengers and the Spider-man books. OMD really didn't end up erasing anything other than Peter and MJ being married. I've read though that JMS wanted to use OMD to retcon Sin's Past but got shot down.
