+ As with the previous two issues, the art is just fantastic. I really like the art team on this book and there is really no surprise there.
+ The story finally gets going a little more with this issue. There are some good plot twists and much more character development than in the previous issues. The story is still not blowing me away but it definitely seems to be going in the right direction.
+ Haunt seemed less like the Spider-man/Spawn combo in this issue to me than he did in the first two. Maybe its because there are fewer of the "McFarlane poses" in this issue but I actually thought the character looked much better this issue.
Bad:
- This book still comes off as a little unoriginal, not necessarily with what and who the character is, but just the overall situations and "feel" of the book.
- Even though I thought this was the best issue so far, it is still not "wowing" me. Maybe it is never going to and maybe it is just too high of expectations for Kirkman but I guess I just expected more from this book at this point.
Overall, it was easily the best issue so far. There are still a couple of the nagging problems that were in the first two, but the book seems to be going in the right direction.
My rating: 4/5
Art: 5 - Excellent
