March 28, 2013 1:44 pm I got the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Ultimate Collection for Christmas this year....I think it was my favoirte gift. Love those old TMNT stories and The Shredder really did become a pretty awesome villain.
March 28, 2013 9:23 am Well no, it's not Peter, the Superior Spider-man AU tie-in is Otto and the story in that issue ties directly into the story in the AU books. I'm assuming you didn't read the Spider-man tie in but to be clear, it explicitly states that it is Otto in Spider-man's body and the whole story is really about Otto using his old Dock Ock technology to try and beat Ultron.
March 27, 2013 3:28 pm I'm not sure I do anything "extreme" but I play softball in the summer, participate in bowling leagues year round, I love to fish, go camping, and play golf...and I do most of those often times wearing superhero or Star Wars shirts. Then again where I grew up I've never really gotten the feeling that people think of comic book readers as the ultra nerd/comic book guy types of people. I've never been made fun of for my love of comics and geeky things and I know a lot of people who read comics and like geeky things, and only a couple of them would come close to fitting what I would consider to be the stereotypical image of what a comic book reader would look like. Granted, I see quite a few people at my LCS who fit that description, but I see far more who are just look like "normal" people (which, you know, they are since I live in a town called Normal).
March 27, 2013 2:47 pm This was good, the "twist" at the end was nice...didn't really expect it. The only weird thing for me about Age of Ultron is the Spider-man thing....reading the Superior Spider-man AU issue today and then this was just off, because he's clearly written to be Peter Parker by Bendis, and very, very clearly written to be Otto in the Superior Spider-man book. Someone pointed out in another thread that this book has been in the works for a while and they didn't know about the Spider-man status quo change when Bendis started writing this, but if thats the case couldn't they have gone back and changed a few things to make it work better? Or was the book already like printed and everything by then? Really not a huge deal I guess as I am enjoying this, but it was just like I was reading two completely different characters today.
March 26, 2013 9:53 am Wow you weren't kidding about blink and you'll miss it, I thought it cut off early the first time I watched it! I'm one of the few people who didn't hate Origins (though I hated parts of it) so I'm excited for this movie!
March 26, 2013 8:57 am Yeah the whole thing is confusing, because not only is he written to be like Peter in the first to AU issues, but he's still wearing the old Spider-man costume, which he clearly isn't on the cover to this.
March 22, 2013 3:46 pm The only thing kind of bothering me about this series is that there is no way people should not have this figured out by now. In issue #2 Carlie indicates she's figured it out, but then nothing else since then. I would think the events from the past couple of issues should cement her fear pretty quickly, and there is NO WAY that MJ shouldn't have figured this out by now. But I have been enjoying the series quite a bit other than that.
March 18, 2013 12:10 pm This was a great, so sad this show is gone now :(
March 15, 2013 10:28 am I really like that Luke Skywalker one by Phil Noto, I hope they decide to go with that kind of look for Luke in the new movie.
March 14, 2013 1:03 am This was good, I'm really interested to see what Otto is up to capturing his old pals from the Sinister Six!
