August 29, 2013 9:38 am So the inability to avoid and up off cross over / event books have plagued comics for longer then we thought. Good moment and very relevant to current state of comic event books.
August 29, 2013 8:23 am This story line has been fun, I was also a little worried about the displaced man storyline, however, I agree with SupermanP33v3. Hex's facial expressions and the witty dialogue put any doubts I had to pasture.
August 26, 2013 9:57 am It is a fun book, a good team book, same great character development as Avengers Arena.
August 24, 2013 8:47 pm I agree, good advice.
August 22, 2013 11:18 pm The relationship between Jessica, Carol and Clint is interesting. I would like to see more of that in either this book or Captain Marvel. If you do pick up this issue, my advice is to read the Avengers first and then read this issue. Just a suggestion.
August 22, 2013 11:03 pm that is good to hear about your comic book store experience! The place I shop at is the same way, independently owned and a labor of love for the people that run it. Hope your daughter has a great school year! thanks for a well written review, I might pick this book back up again.
August 22, 2013 1:54 pm The art reminded me of Erik Larson's Early Marvel work. Soule knows how to balance the humor and the serious, making for a good read. Hoping that readers who picked up the book stay on after the tie-in issues. Good review.
August 22, 2013 9:39 am Let the MODOK and Quato comparisons begin... Nothing phases J'onn.Let's face it, he knows how to get his head back in the game. Ok, I am done. Great panel, very funny.
August 21, 2013 11:19 pm I am a fan of Bullen Cunn for the reasons you stated in your review. I liked Venom off and on but always felt distant from the character. Cunn bridges that distance and makes the reader connect with Flash and by default Venom. Reviews like this will hopefully spread the word about the title so we can read flawed but fun stories.
August 21, 2013 10:38 pm I agree, there seemed to be a heavy editorial influence on this issue, comparing this book to this week's Animal Man issue, also written by Lemire, this book seems to be written by someone else. The dialogue and exposition appeared off the mark a bit. Nice review,
