Welcome to Marvel Charles Soule! He scripted an intriguing story that’s the jumping off point for the Thunderbolt’s part in the Infinity event.

He has a excellent grasp on all the characters. I love the attention to detail with New York City as the setting.

Contrast to the brilliant story is the poorly drawn art by Jefte Palo. The pencils look rushed with no attention to detail. It’s disappointing because Palo has drawn much better art in the past.

I’m hoping that Marvel brings back Phil Noto or a more capable artist who takes his work seriously.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 1 - Poor

  1. The art reminded me of Erik Larson’s Early Marvel work. Soule knows how to balance the humor and the serious, making for a good read. Hoping that readers who picked up the book stay on after the tie-in issues. Good review.
