I never saw the day coming when I would stoop to the ground to write a positive review of a Venom title. I have got to say that Bunn has taken a book on the brink of failing its readers in a bright, fun, and, frivolous direction. The art has been slightly hit or miss but even with that, it’s at least ‘okay’. The flawed character of Flash makes for an everyman to root for, an almost ironic replacement to Peter Parker in the New M.U., and replace he does. I’ve never been a fan of the claws and jaws hero/villain that Venom was, but back when this title started 40 issues ago, I was hooked by the pathos and the poundings. For pure fun and flaws try this title.

  1. I am a fan of Bullen Cunn for the reasons you stated in your review. I liked Venom off and on but always felt distant from the character. Cunn bridges that distance and makes the reader connect with Flash and by default Venom.

Reviews like this will hopefully spread the word about the title so we can read flawed but fun stories.
