Better title would have been The Power of the Cat.
Soule’s work in comics continues to impress, Thunderbolts and Red Lanterns are purrfect example of his prowess in the big two’s universes.

He gives the supporting characters personality and back story, a good tell of quality story telling. There is a good back and forth between Atrocitus and Guy’s story lines that are fluid and effective, giving direction to a title that has lost it’s rage.

Calafiore and Vitti compliment the rage of emotion by giving the Red Lanterns more facial expressions, simple yet effect backgrounds and cleaner panels.

This book has landed on it’s feet under Soule, Vitti and Morales. The storyline makes this reader curious enough to come back.

  1. “The cat came back?” You’ve piqued my interest! I’ll be sure to pick this up on Saturday!

Nicely crafted review, too. Loved your line regarding “a title that’s lost its rage,” and your purrfectly executed punnery.

  2. I saw that Dex-Starr was coming back. I don’t think I can resist the urge to pick this up! May have to pick-up Soule’s other issues of this. Maybe I will be reading a Lantern book afterall 🙂

  3. I loved this issue! The scenes with Atrocitus and Dex-Starr were great and you could feel the bond those two have. Nice review, hopefully others will check this title out.
