So maybe your just reading Scarlet Spider, kudos, because it is a wonderful and interesting book. Maybe you skipped the whole Superior thing in favor of Scarlet, could be an economic issue or just a die hard Parker fan.

Yost does a good job using ‘internal dialogue’ (little inside joke from the issue, no pun intended)to catch up readers that took those options I mentioned. And the trick is done with Octavius flare. For those who had been superior at reading all the SS titles, this is still a fun Otto self gratifying year recap.

Further on in the book when the Team Up begins, there are some very clever moments, good mixture of action, witty banter and a couple of surprises.

The art is expressive capturing the character’s facial reactions. The panel layout gives the story motion.

Yost has said that his job is easy and that Slott is doing the heavy work. Or maybe Yost is a such a good story teller, that if this is his easiest writing assignment then I look forward to when the assignment gets more challenging. Yost and Checchetto have it them, their internal dialogue says so.
