July 2, 2012 10:42 pm Avengers vs. X-Men (so good) and Earth 2. And I'll have the salmon, please.
July 2, 2012 10:39 pm I haven't read every major publisher event ever, but this is, so far, my hands-down favorite. Marvel's really knocking it out of the park in the main book. (The best tie-ins belong, hands down, to "Wolverine & the X-Men" and "X-Men Legacy"; the rest have been pretty bad.)
May 23, 2012 9:55 am Try any issue of "X-Men" or said related mutant books where a new mutant (or a New Mutant) is actively being recruited/discovering he or she has powers. I don't know if you've noticed, but the Marvel comic book universe is kind of jam-packed full of stories about ostracized teenagers. I suppose, then, the question would be for your proposed scenario: would a metaphorical story get the job done?
May 23, 2012 9:52 am I'm gonna regret asking this, but... isn't Northstar dead? Very, very dead? But I guess that "Wolverine" issue by Millar is now years beyond the statute of limitations on comic book mortality.
May 20, 2012 11:28 pm My college students had no idea who Calvin & Hobbes are. But they DID recognize the (non-licensed) image of the little blonde kid with the striped red shirt peeing on everything. I paid my entire H&C collection to my nephew a few years back. Great move.
May 17, 2012 9:14 am In the next panel, Lt. Tatem immediately followed up his question about the mask with, "And seriously: the briefs? You're a grown man, for Pete's sake."
May 15, 2012 1:34 pm Josh, I believe the proper line delivery there is: "Could it BE any more milked?" Which, understandably, doesn't roll off the tongue.
May 1, 2012 6:36 pm Joss Whedon has a writing credit on "Toy Story". Therefore, he ALWAYS gets the benefit of the doubt.
April 26, 2012 3:01 pm Agent Coulson is awesome. And so is Clark Gregg. That is all.
April 26, 2012 2:42 pm Really interesting stuff. Then I remember I've hated just about everything Morrison's written that I've read and kinda tune out.
