  1. This is a ton of fun. I read about 4 of the last issues all at once and it was a blast. I love all the changes and it’s feeling pretty epic. Oh man, and that art!

  2. is jean grey back yet?

  3. I’m changing my game with these three words: “Not buying anymore.”

  4. Meh. On the bright side at least Romita Jr. isn’t drawing it anymore.

  5. Copiel!

  6. I haven’t read every major publisher event ever, but this is, so far, my hands-down favorite. Marvel’s really knocking it out of the park in the main book. (The best tie-ins belong, hands down, to “Wolverine & the X-Men” and “X-Men Legacy”; the rest have been pretty bad.)

  7. I bought the first issue and it wasn’t bad just not enough to keep me coming back. Copiel sold me on the last issue and was good enough I think I will pick this up again. I’m hoping the third infinity issue us better than the second.

    • You drop and then come back to a limited series?!? Really?

    • I don’t see anything wrong with that especially in this case. There are 12 issues which is the equivalent of years worth on an ongoing, which could normally be anywhere from about 2 to 6 arcs. And this mini is basically broken down into three seperate parts, so it’s almost as if he dropped at the last arc and is jumping on to the next one which people do all the time.

  8. Disappointed that Hickman was only on for a single issue. He completely reinvigorated a mini that was going nowhere.

  9. This will be my last issue. I just don’t care anymore. Hickman did well last issue, but it”s not enough to make me care for what’s going on. It is a over-hyped event that has been going on too long.It makes me hate Cyclops even more than I already do. He has just became another Magneto. I enjoy the series’ that I read regularly that tie into this event more then the actual event.

  10. wasn’t the page count on the last issue really high? i thumbed through it at the store yesterday and it seemed to go on forever.
could have had something with the writing, though. lol

  11. So this seems to be set *before* New Avengers 27, which came out two weeks ago. That’s annoying.

  12. Tony Stark needs MOAR DATA.

  13. I would enjoy this a lot more if there were some semblance of a proper reading order. It’s so jumbled and redundant. I just finished reading The Sinestro Corps War for the first time, and am in the middle of Blackest Night, and say what you will about Geoff Johns, at least those stories really feel/felt like an event.

  14. Attempting to use the AR app for this continues to be an unbearable test of my patience. Was not able to get any of the AR to work on left-sided pages, and when they do all I get are shitty low-res “pencil-to-print” images or cheap “special effect” animations (Namor face-shards twirling around and fading to black — WOW, what great 21st century effects!). If tech is this low-rent and shoddy, it would’ve been best not to debut it at all.

  15. I just don’t buy that the X-men would be going along with this. the Phoenix Force Five may be affected by becoming godlike but the rest of the X-men would not follow them blindly like this. Hunting down the avengers, setting up a false world created by the 5 and controlling it. I get some would but not all and not with the blind commitment they seem to be showing to the cause, If they dug deeper and showed what was going on in the background with the others it could be interesting. But i would prefer they just wrap this up as soon as they can.

  16. Do people actually think Fraction is good? I’ve never like anything I’ve read of his. His script was the worst of the bunch and Coipel makes Steve Rogers look cross-eyed. Bad art, bad script ok story. Last issue was great, this one was the worst so far.

    • Have you read Immortal Iron Fist? That was co-written with Brubaker however.

    • I liked his early run on Iron Man and that’s about it.

    • Avatar photo filippod (@filippodee) says:

I like his current Defenders run.

    • na id have to agree but the only things I’ve read of his was fear itself and his issues during Avengers vs x-men which were probably the worst by comparison…. maybe the guy just doesn’t like writing even comics and is trying to get Marvel to stop getting him to write them?

    • oh i take that back i also read the first four issues of Defenders which wasn’t bad it definitely has some good moments in them

  17. Ukraine. Not the Ukraine. You don’t call it the canada, the america or the mexico.
    Idiots…

that being said, this isn’t half bad. I’m digging it more than i did fear itself. I’d say i’m excited to see where this goes but after all this marvel now crap, i can’t say i care much.

    • But people do say “the Ukraine” it’s a whole thing. people talk like that regardless of whether it’s correct or not

  18. Was it just me or did it feel like some parts repeated themselves?

  19. Is Hope de-aging? She looks about twelve in this issue.

  20. Finally an issue of AvX I can truly say I enjoyed; art and story wise, it was very well done. Really cool how the P5 are scared of Wanda and how Black Panther handled Stark’s little freakout. I can see how Namor’s actions are in line with his personality, but I don’t like he is now the bad guy.

  21. I hate to be this guy, but in my opinion, this easily has been the most overhyped POS in ages. Don’t get me wrong, I love me some Avengers, but this is just awkward. I know I could stop buying it, but I’ve come this far and I feel I owe it to myself to see how it will all unfold.

  22. I’m struggling with this. It’s not that I think it’s bad, it’s just standard crossover fare. The dialogue is fine, the idea that Dr Strange is disguising other Avengers as the Scarlet Witch and that the X-Men are falling for it, is, albeit a stretch is advancing the story. I’ll continue reading it, mostly on the strength of Coipel’s character work. He’s a really talented artist.

  23. Holy shit was this issue bad. Incomprehensible, stupid, and nonsensical in relation to issue 6. It’s almost to the point where I’m only buying it now to watch the train wreck.
