August 26, 2012 8:05 pm This is going to be great, I'm really looking forward to it. And this is a great book for Storm to be a part of too.
August 26, 2012 8:03 pm That is a very bizarre team. Still, glad to see Stargirl back! I'm very curious to see what sort of explanation Johns comes up with for the Cosmic Rod. Hopefully she doesn't turn into this generation's Power Girl or Hawkman as far as backstory is concerned. Also, when can we get a decent Justice League logo?
August 23, 2012 2:08 am Does Supes look like he's trying to force a kiss on Diana? It's looking about as forced as this storyline. And considering that this series hasn't had any character development outside of the most basic of stereotypes for the characters, it's not hard to guess they're going with the whole two strongest of each gender cliche. I used to love Geoff Johns, but if this turns out as bad as I'm expecting it to, I think I'll be down to Aquaman as the only Johns book I'm reading. AQUAMAN!!! What kind of world am I living in?!?!
July 21, 2012 9:23 pm Not too long ago we had a TV show that was 10 seasons of Clark finding himself, while having two sometimes conflicting father figures advising him along the way. These trailers worry me that we're jumping right back into that again. On top of that, he's Superman. We all know his story, we're all going to complain about the changes you make to it to make it your own "vision", so just skip the origin and give us Superman.
July 11, 2012 6:41 pm I had this (still have it sitting on a shelf over my shoulder actually) in a little digest/paperback novel format that I'm pretty sure I bought at a supermarket. No cassette tape, and the art is black and white, but it's a well dog earned copy that was my first introduction to a grittier Batman after watching so many reruns of the Adam West show.
July 6, 2012 4:07 am Is Hope de-aging? She looks about twelve in this issue.
April 12, 2012 5:03 am Was a big fan of Peej in Johns' JSA run, through her own series, and I'm excited to see what happens with all this Earth-2 stuff, terrible costume aside. Hopefully she keeps some of her attitude from the Grey/Palmiotti run. She recently showed up at the end of the Huntress mini-series, reuniting with Helena for the first time in a year and using a bit of super power to save Helena from some security guards (though Helena does mention she though Kara had been flying openly on this Earth yet).
April 3, 2012 6:14 pm This show pales in comparison to Spectacular Spider-Man on every level. Characters are more detailed, but the animation is jerkier. SSP told its story without needing constant cut aways to explain every little thing like Spider-Sense. Plus Spidey was actually funny in SSP. This one had some real groan inducing "quips". I mean, it's not a bad show. Even a good show in some respects. But when we've already had great, good doesn't cut it.
March 5, 2012 5:00 pm Why bother making Earth 2 if it isn't going to be Earth 2?
February 13, 2012 12:50 am There's a lot about PG's redesign I'm not a fan of. The cape no longer being over the shoulder, the gauntlets are ridiculous, and it looks odd without some sort of color breaking up the all white jumpsuit (i.e. a belt, blue gloves/boots). I also miss my favorite addition from Amanda Connor's design: the power symbol. It was on her belt, and the sides of her boots. It was a subtle little touch that a lot of people didn't notice (I didn't at first), but it's still a more iconic symbol then this misshaped P we're getting. But costumes change over time and fine, I'll stick with it regardless of those changes, but I hope some of her fun personality from the Grey/Palmiotti run is still there. It's what made me a Power Girl fan in the first place because it was the first time I'd seen here with a personality with more depth than angry feminist parody.
