Action Comics #1 did something I never expected: made me *like* Superman. I’ve never found the Man of Steel to be a compelling superhero, but Grant Morrison has figured out a way. This Superman has personality (and an ego) and I love him for it. The whole issue was compelling from beginning to end, the ending especially being pretty damn genius (in my opinion anyway). The “costume” takes a bit to get used to, but it eventually doesn’t become a bother. For the first time ever I can actually say I’m looking forward to a Superman title. Well-done.
