BATMAN: THE DARK KNIGHT #22
July 23, 2013 1:24 pm This is my favorite Bat book because of its strong emphasis on the villains and de-emphasis on the Bat-family.
Alex Maleev! And no Mad Hatter! Lookin' good, B:TDK!

SCARLET #7
July 16, 2013 12:13 pm I disagree. I can't read Bendis any more on his superhero work, but I think Scarlet is VERY intriguing.

LOCKE & KEY, VOL 05: CLOCKWORKS TP
July 13, 2013 5:53 pm Yea, my bad, guess there is still one more trade coming. It's amazing how tight the whole storyline is...so much forethought. Was great to see female Dodge again. So many cool tidbits, like Duncan, the gender key, and his homosexuality.

THE LONE RANGER #16
July 9, 2013 1:18 pm I'm guessing that since the movie is such a big flop we'll never see this Tonto get the bird on his head, etc.

ASTRO CITY #2
July 9, 2013 1:14 pm Because a big not-so-secret part of Astro City's success has been the way that Busiek, a little bit like Stan Lee I would add, always somehow keeps the normal humans integral to the storylines, and often the central characters.
Equally stoked.

THE FEARLESS DEFENDERS #6
July 8, 2013 6:11 pm Defenders continues to stick to my pull list...it definitely channels that serious whacky that Gerber and DeMatteis used to bring to the book. Also channels Don Perlins "I've seen better" art tradition. :(
