August 17, 2011 3:27 pm I'd bet dollar to donuts that this Forgiven: http://www.comicbookresources.com/?page=article&id=33942 is the vampire character introduced in Throne of Blood. So maybe these are the good guy Vampires for the big Vampire event Marvel has been teasing the last couple years?
August 5, 2011 3:30 pm Brilliant piece. Simply brilliant. Insightful, honest, and full of truths, this is easily among my favorite of all the pieces you have written. Thanks for sharing it with us.

@TheNextChampion Uh-huh. Gee. I don't remember saying you did. Could you, oh I don't know, actually pay attention. Also sales figures were not really the heart of my argument, but instead one example that I listed as part of a larger rebuttal. So, why did you not address anything else...? Oh right, you are clearly not interested in having an actual discussion but only in making snide comments. And hey, I love me some snide comments, but I also like to back those up with some thoughtful statements as well. My main point was addressing your gross overstatement and to answer your question of why anyone, not just you but ANYONE, might be interested in the topic of this article. Hence my "Besides, you can not like the event itself and still look forward to the aftermath." line. Do you understand now? Hopefully you do. If you have something intelligent to say, then by all means, respond to this. Otherwise, I'm just going to ignore you going forward. Honestly I probably should done that from the beginning. *shrugs* Oh well. C'est la vie. I bid you good day sir.

July 24, 2011 6:00 pm The majority of fans? Really. Really? Thats one hell of an overstatement buddy. Heck sales figures alone don't agree with your statement, and money is always going to have more weight, with me at least, than the mouth. I grant you on this site a lot of people have been negative, but I know plenty of people, both on and off line, who are enjoying Fear Itself a great deal. It would be like me saying because I'm not looking forward, for themost part,  to the NuDCU and I find a website where a bunch of other people feel the same, and I have, that must mean nobody thinks its going to be great. Obviously thats no the case, now is it. Don't like Fear Itself? Fair enough and I respect your opinion. Now do the same in turn please. Besides, you can not like the event itself and still look forward to the aftermath.
July 24, 2011 5:39 pm And now for an opposing opinion. I've been more or less enjoying Fear Itself (pointless death of awesome character like Bucky aside) and the latest issue  was the best yet in my opinion. Yet I find myself even more excited by where things seem to be going following the event. These books, along with Defenders and the new Incredible Hulk, all seem look interesting. Some really great looking stuff with very strong creative teams. So, I for one say, bring it on Marvel. Bring. It. On.
July 10, 2011 8:30 pm Couldn't disagree with you guys more. For me, Flashpoint this week was filled with lazy storytelling and going about in circles while Fear Itself brought the awesome. FI just feels like some exciting old school super heroic crossover madness. Flahspoint... was not terrible by any means but I also wonder, with only two issues to go, if Johns has enough space to actually tell a coherent and satisfying story. We will see.
July 8, 2011 2:17 pm Its a fun, well-done title, no doubt, and one that is alll-ages in the best sense of the word. If you are looking for some lite adventure and fun, either for yourself or for the younger comic fans in your life (or heck both), that features some truly breath-taking cartoon inspired art, then you can not go wrong with the Mega-Man comic from Archie. Certainly the tons of kids who are constatly snapping up copies at the Toys-R-Us I work part time at would agree. :)

May 31, 2011 5:34 pm I'm also all for the day and date digital announcement and I hope this prods Marvel into following suit as well. Its is something vital for this industry to get behind if it wants to survive. Any retailer who complains aobut it is being short sighted. Heck, I'm good friends with the management at Atomic Comics, one of the larger comic retailer chains in the country, and I know they are all for day and date digital. They know it will simply bring in new readers while for the most part also having little effect on their die hard regulars.

Everything else I'm takin a wait and see approach. Clearly some continutity tweaking is going to be happening. Except that we just played this game with Geoff Johns a few years ago following Ifinite Crisis. I'm not sure we need to play it again, especially with him. As for the renumbering, thats a cheap stunt and we all know it. Does anyone really not expect, for example, to see Action Comics #1000 when the time comes? Heck, we just did 'the new number #1 then going back to the old numbering' dance with Wonder Woman last year. It doesn't annoy me too much but it also does nothing to excite me. Certianly not like the day and digital does.
