Outside of Zombie Deadpool’s head and the interaction
between the two Deadpools there is really nothing that particularly  sets
this book apart from the other 2 (which is still a ridiculous thing for Marvel
to do as it really threatens to overexpose i.e. “Wolverine” the
character) Deadpool books on the market. That being said of the 3 (sigh)
Deadpool comics on the shelf this is the one I’m probably enjoying the most. That’s
not to say that its even a pimple on the ass of Joe Kelly’s seminal run or even
as good as Fabian Nicizia’s Cable and Deadpool because its not. Both of those
books (especially the former) managed to imbue the maniac Merc with a Mouth
(TM) with a deeper quality that allowed him to be a fully developed and well
rounded character under all the lunacy. This book on the other has less depth
than the shallowest of Looney Tune cartoons and is a lot less funny than one
for that matter as well. Still for those who crave a monthly Deadpool fix this
is best of the lot available. The writing is fine and the art is perfectly serviceable.
If you only buy one Deadpool book this month…. Buy the 1st volume of Deadpool
Classic. But if you only buy one Deadpool ISSUE this moth then make it this one.
