I'm really glad that they set this one in the near future, and not in continuity. (it being the last days of Animal Man and all) I'm really interested to see where it's going. The cover looks like we might be for some more insight into Buddy's origin; so what were those aliens doing anyway?
The comic book was created so that we might enjoy the War of Kings. Every issue I've picked up (with the exception of the Skaar book) has been an incredible follow up to the last. I turn each page with excitement to see what awaits on the other side.
I can't wait to get my hands on this issue.
I'm disappointed that Capt. Britain and MI-13 wasn't the pick, but I didn't read this book. I'll give it a try, but I have a hard time envisioning Phonogram Singles Club bringing me the same amount of vocal exclamations from the sheer joy that I had reading Cap and MI-13.
I'll be sadly picking this up. I hope that we'll see more, but I fear that it will be done in a way to make us regret even asking.
I, too, can't wait for this book. I let some of my friends that don't read comics read the other issues, and they're bugging me about when this one is coming out.
I hadn't read anything Darkhawk previously. That said, I'm really enjoying this. I think that Darkhawk will be a much better character coming out of this arc.
If you're not reading this, you're missing out on some of the Shi'ar side of the War of Kings. This is book is doing much of what I wish that the Thunderbolts of Dark Avengers were doing.
