SOB I can’t believe this is the last issue. This has been incredible. One would hope that somehow IDW can continue this via another venue or something.
This is over? NOOOOOOOOO! I wanted it to be a 5-issue. Dammit!
There is going to be a G.I. JOE: COBRA special issue later in the year, so there is technically going to be one more issue after this one.
Sucks, I could have sworn it was supposed to be a 5-issue mini. Oh well, a great read nonetheless. Can’t wait to see how this ends.
I can’t wait to see if Chuckles go off on Cobra or if he brings the cavalry. Of course its not going to be a satisfying ending of Cobra but the throwdown should be epic.
This series has been the surprise of the year for me, every issue has been great. Can’t wait to read this.
I can’t believe this is the last issue. It’s been awesome but it seems like Chuckles hasn’t really learned jack about Cobra yet (or not nearly enough). Has he even heard the name Cobra?

This should be great. Every issue seems to better the last – and I also did not know this was ending after issue 4. Thought it would play itself into a 7 issue mini or even a 12, a la Sleeper.
This writing and art team need to stick together, either continuing this series or other series. It’s working out great.
I, too, can’t wait for this book. I let some of my friends that don’t read comics read the other issues, and they’re bugging me about when this one is coming out.
If you are enjoying Cage’s work on this I encourage you to check out his new book from Avatar called Absolution. #0 (of 6) came out last week and was an intriguing issue that made me excited to read more. The basic premise is a superhero that is actually a part of the police department who decides he can’t take criminals getting off light anymore and takes the law into his own hands. Check it out cuz its only $1.99.
That was awesome. Glad to learn that G.I.JOE Origins isn’t going to end after the next issue.

The variant covers are great but the main covers are UGLY!
Pretty good book, but the twist seemed right out of The Losers. Will be buying the special, but other than that, I think I am off the GI Joe train. The other series were just not as good as this.

Lately, Chaykin’s stuff hasn’t been his strongest. You really need to see his earlier work, though. That’s where the respect comes from.
This whole mini just fucking rocked. Totally out of left field and had me in a trance at every turn of the page. There’s really nothing else to say about it that hasn’t already (or will) be said.
Wasn’t exactly what I wanted for an ending, but still damn good. Easily one of the best stories I have read this year. I’ll be picking up the special issues fo’ sho’.
I know he is a veteran, sythspawn, and you are right, I haven’t seen his early work.
When is the special issue coming out?

@AmirCat according to the text following the story in this issue, the Cobra special comes out in September.
Every issue of this series has been 5-star worthy. I can’t believe how good its been, or how good it concluded.
Wait let me get this straight. not only is this a great comic it is also g.i joe….. dam i never thought g.i joe would amount anything. great series and worth the money. hopefully the special issue is just as good.
