Unlike the majority of others, I got into Swamp Thing during its Vertigo run that began in 2004 so adjusting to this new take was…jarring to say the least. The “guy who used to be a superhero but is running away from a past that won’t let him escape” thing is pretty generic, but Swamp Thing makes it work and I’m digging the art. I pine for my crazy/unintelligible Vertigo series but this will do just fine.
