This book surprised the heck out of me with how much I liked it. Thematically it feels a lot like Animal Man, probably because they both occupy the same corner of the DCU, and it looks like their initial plots are likely related.

The writing is really good. The pacing is excellent. The exposition well-executed. Really, the only thing I can find to complain about is that I don’t like how Superman’s face is drawn. Well, that, and that I have to wait until next month for Swamp Thing #2.
