I did not have high hopes for this book with all the hype surrounding it, but this was a great Batman issue. A little mix of everything Bat-Action, Bat-Dinner Crepes, and Bat-Family along with a building mystery. The art was fun and quirky yet strangely dark. If I had one gripe, it would be the rendering of Dick Grayson. He just didn’t look right. It might be the de-aging and I need to just go with it but it was very off putting for me and took me out of the moment. Overall though Snyder and Capullo should be proud of themselves with an excellent first issue.

Story: 5 - Excellent
Art: 4 - Very Good
