@Parker - I think its because Bart trapped him in teh Speed Force during Infinite Crisis, but they never really go into too much detail as to why Prime hates him so much.

I'm the least versed in Legion lore/characters out of the whole DC Universe and I still love this book.  Glad to get another part (even if I don't know who anyone but Sodam Yat, Superman and Prime are really). 

January 23, 2009 1:24 pm well all this lively banter aside, I enjoyed the issue and think it points the story in a more interesting direction.  I do appreciate how all the associated FC books are fleshing out the main series very well.  I wouldn't want to just be reading the main series without the associated stories.  I'm loving it though.

Spoilers - yeah, I was hoping for a lot more story with Laira.  I get it that her death was the impetous of Hal Going all crazy because he felt he'd failed her twice, but I just feel redeeming her could have been a really interesting story.  Plus she was just a good character :(

I love love loved this issue though.  Do you think Hal will be wearing every friggin ring by the end of blackest night lol.

January 18, 2009 2:22 pm the odd thing to me was that this arc was called 'sins of the star sapphires'.  After reading it though, it seems that the Sapphires have their shit together more or less and the guardians are wacky.  maybe that was the point of the story though.

I'm actually enjoying this a lot.  the fact that my time put into reading all the wikipedia entries on the New Gods last year seems justified because I look at this and, while it feels jumbled, still makes a decent amount of sense. 

The implications with Batman are intriguing too because I think the story of how he gets back from wherever the hell he is now could be very cool. 

On a lighter note, I'm a Mary Marvel fan (spoiler) and I'm glad they didn't kill her off like I was afraid of.

I felt like the Blob thing was a mischaracterization based on everything he's been in the Ultimate U so far.  I'm a bit bummed because, while I think the Ultimate U had some bad spots, it just feels like they're giving up on having to write good stories for it so they're killing everyone off.

They've had some comics in the regular U going for nearly 50 years and they run out of ideas after 8 years of the Ultimate U?  Just seems a bit lazy to me, but I also know that I hated Ultimate X-men by the end.

This issue was really frustrating for me storywise though and I don't know that I'm going to pick up the rest of the series.

I have to agree, the story was enjoyable and the art was amazing.  it was refreshing to see Power Girl drawn so well.  It seems lots of artists make her look like an old woman a lot or the time, or just a body builder with super wide shoulders.  she was actually cute in this series, which is what she should be. 

November 12, 2008 9:52 pm Pat Gleason draws the scarred guardian soooo ugly, and its perfect.  The guardians are sort of turning into overbearing parents (starting?) and I'm curious to see what this new law does.  its funny that they were kind of teasing a relationship between Soranik Natu and Kyle Rayner a few issues earlier and I wonder how that's gonna play out.

I enjoyed this.  I don't normally buy bat titles, but this one sucked me in.  I hate Hush, but I think I'm supposed to hate Hush.  the story ended well though so I was happy with it.
