Name: Ian Raney

Bio: I grew up on Long Island (aka Longuyland),  learned in Michigan, and settled in San Diego.  I've been collecting comics since Justice League Europe #41, which may have led to me collecting  every Justice League comic from  DeMatteis and Giffen's Justice League #1 to Justice League of America #113 (yeah the one with Fire, Blue Devil, Ice Maiden, Nuklon, Obsidian, and the Yazz).  Currently I'm collecting more DC than Marvel but I don't take sides.  I love me some good indie books (Y, Fear Agent, Scalped), but I'm usually late to the party and end up picking up the first trade.  I'm not one for forums (I don't have time to keep checking back for response!), but glad that i can leave comments here at iFanboy.

Definitely another solid issue.  It wasn’t as exciting as I was hoping though.  I think this was ruined by the…

I can never get into space stories (i think because of all the new names of races, planets, people), but this series is amazing.  Picked up the first issue to see what he was all about and have been hooked ever since.  This series has shown real skill in telling a crossover story arc that can stand on its own without the main crossover book.

Wasn't too big a fan of the annual (sorry!) but looking forward to the story progressing

I really hope that next month Mongul just appears in the middle of Countdown.  Because why else would they delay a good storyline for an inconsequential story.

Ok, well...there are many reasons...but I just wanted to jump onto the "This fill-in story is killing me" band wagon

March 5, 2008 8:01 pm I really wish they would report news on comic books on thursday and not wednesday morning...before they even come out.

@ Balefuego "Really though, I think this is kind of just a laid back transitional story before we start leading into whatever's going down in Uncanny #500."

Agreed.  At which point I will decide whether this book is worth collecting anymore or not.

I've read the first trade.  Second trade is on its way...and I'm picking up the issues to read when I catch up.  But trying to steer clear for a bit because I know somewhere in the middle of what I haven't read is a big reveal...which I assume ties into the title Dead Mothers...

...just in case you were wondering specifically where my comment was....

March 4, 2008 12:14 pm I agree as well.  This ending doesnt' have me nearly as excited as the last 12 issues of 52.  Just keeps chugging along.
March 4, 2008 12:13 pm Love this comic.  Forerunner story would have been alright if they did a 4 issue story for her and then maybe a 4 issue story for someone else.

I'll also give it a one issue try.

So do you think we'll have to wait forever for the baby reveal? If it is actually something that needs to be revealed...

i'm going to pick this up...but I am not excited for this.

Wasn't Messiah Complex going to be the big event that defines/changes/shakes to the core the X-men?  Now they are saying this is the set up to another event?  I was really hoping to be excited to read the X again...but so far Uncanny, X-force, and X-factor have been more of the same (which in X-factors case means its still great).

And in terms of this book?  Looking back on previous X-men adventures...doesn't seem to have a place in what one would assume is the core book of the X-men universe.  But I'll give it a chance and hope i is amazing
