Name: Ian Raney

Bio: I grew up on Long Island (aka Longuyland),  learned in Michigan, and settled in San Diego.  I've been collecting comics since Justice League Europe #41, which may have led to me collecting  every Justice League comic from  DeMatteis and Giffen's Justice League #1 to Justice League of America #113 (yeah the one with Fire, Blue Devil, Ice Maiden, Nuklon, Obsidian, and the Yazz).  Currently I'm collecting more DC than Marvel but I don't take sides.  I love me some good indie books (Y, Fear Agent, Scalped), but I'm usually late to the party and end up picking up the first trade.  I'm not one for forums (I don't have time to keep checking back for response!), but glad that i can leave comments here at iFanboy.

Definitely another solid issue.  It wasn’t as exciting as I was hoping though.  I think this was ruined by the…

March 25, 2008 11:42 am Agreed.  Although I do enjoy the first half a little better because Animal Man is awesome.  I always hope in this books that somehow the two stories will magically come together in a senseable way.  But I guess that might ruin the individual story lines.

I also love the art for this.
March 24, 2008 12:43 pm It started off in a really good direction and seemed like it was building to something and then they just had all these random 3 issue arcs
March 23, 2008 9:52 pm I have Flash 1-237.  I too have dropped the Flash.  I suffered through enough crap.  I'll pick it up again when its good.
March 22, 2008 8:27 pm @ Conor - haha I know that!  I just didn't know that the bug character (sorry I don't remember the name) was based on an old character...and not just a totally new Countdown thing.
March 18, 2008 7:53 pm Anyone else looking forward to the new Justice League comic announced?  Cause from this issue till the one in June, JLA looks dismal.
March 18, 2008 7:51 pm I miss the tournament!  You guys hooked me on this title just as the tournament began and now I feel like we've been stuck in non-tournament limbo for months.   But if the cover is any indiciation (and it never is) this should be a great issue.
March 18, 2008 7:49 pm ok so i don't really remember the end of issue 6, but did they reveal the killer?  Cause if not the preview pages for this issue definitely did.
March 18, 2008 7:49 pm For a title many don't like, it sure has a lot of pulls.  Kudos DC is sucking us all in.

Random Comment:  I just got the Jack Kirby Omnibus v.3.  I didn't know that the bug girl following jimmy was based on a Kirby new God character.  Cool!
March 18, 2008 7:46 pm I hate when creator's leave titles like this.  It seemed that Rucka had a vision for this whole secret government agency and was driving towards something.  If it was just this final arc (or maybe the Fall of the Wall arc), so be it.  But I'm hoping Bruce Jones doesn't make a 180 with the direction of the title or do mass killings to spice up the title.  That said, I'll probably drop this after Rucka either way.  I'm picking up too many titles as it is.

I love this book, but from the looks of it many don't.

I was thinking earlier that it would be pretty hard to cancel 100 bullets from about 70 on when they've already said it was going to last 100 issues.  But usually the business people don't care that much about stopping a story that isn't making money.  So is this selling well?  Or does Vertigo just do a good job of taking care of its creators?
