Name: Ian Raney
Bio: I grew up on Long Island (aka Longuyland), learned in Michigan, and settled in San Diego. I've been collecting comics since Justice League Europe #41, which may have led to me collecting every Justice League comic from DeMatteis and Giffen's Justice League #1 to Justice League of America #113 (yeah the one with Fire, Blue Devil, Ice Maiden, Nuklon, Obsidian, and the Yazz). Currently I'm collecting more DC than Marvel but I don't take sides. I love me some good indie books (Y, Fear Agent, Scalped), but I'm usually late to the party and end up picking up the first trade. This book makes me happy. I think the timing is well done too. The series started with a few of the above kind of mentoring the team. Not so much now, so its nice to see them in their own book.
Plus now that I dropped the Flash, i'm looking to get my Wally kick.
God I love this comic and all those that followed from it. I have all the issues so I'm not sure if I'll pick up the trades (maybe when I have some more money). But I highly recommend checking it out if you have never read it.
@Jstump: I loved Bloodwynd! I thought the issue right after superman's death were great. I actually went on comicdb recently and checked out all the issues he was in besides justice league (its not many) and I thought I would pick them up for a fun collection thing. I had always hoped he'd appear in Shadowpact...but alas that dream seems dead.
Plus there are those oversized trades too. I gave those as gifts and wished i had kept one for myself.
You could probably just jump on, but any death would be meaningless, and you would probably ruin reading the back issues.
