July 9, 2012 7:46 pm "I don’t want to read what Rogue has to say to Thor – the context in which these characters were created is very different – the rules of their worlds are *not* the same. It’s taking the worst aspects of big crossover events, and turning them into actual books." You do realize that in her first appearance Rouge was fighting against the Avenger, including Thor who she tried to absorb. I understand what you are saying based on YOUR point of reference, but in reality this is a return to normalcy of sorts. These characters WERE created, for the most part, as a cohesive universe, albeit over a long period of time.
April 9, 2012 7:47 am I'm surprised no one is talking about the introduction of superhero registration in this episode. It seems as if they are laying the ground for a Civil War arc. Also, energy shield or no, this is NOT Capt. America, it's a damn dirty stinking Skrull, so I'm sure the energy shield will only last as long as he does, I'd say mid-season.
March 22, 2012 11:19 pm I've gotta watch an AD before I get to watch and AD? I freaken hate that crap.
January 17, 2012 8:57 am Cyclops vs Capt. America. 1. 1 on 1? Capt. will win. Cyclops can put up a good fight, but ultimately Cap's physical superiority and fighting skill will win the day. 2. As inspiring figures for their teams? My brain says this is a tie, but my heart says it's all Cyke. The Avengers love Cap and follow him to the ends of the Earth, but Cyclops is basically the head of a religion or country. He not only represents his team, he represents his race. 3. Strategy. I know everyone thinks Cap is the best leader in the MU, if not all of comics, but I'd rather be on team Cyclops, all things being equal. Why? Cyke will fight dirty, Cyke will be more creative, and Cyke isn't afraid to do what needs to be done to win. I doubt the Avengers have an X-men protocol for how to take out Colossus or Cerebro, but I'd put good money that Cyclops has Thor plans A-R, and each has been run in the danger room several times. Who gives the better speeches and wins the brawls? Captain America. Who formulates the better plans and wins the war? Old Slim Summers.
January 17, 2012 8:49 am You're entitled to your opinion, but I think this sounds like a lot of fun. Also, I just farted, big time, so be careful while you yawn, you might be breathing deep of my fart.
January 7, 2012 12:59 am Speak for yourself oh trolly one, I happened to enjoy the heck out of Marvel VS DC, just for the novelty of it.
November 24, 2011 8:11 pm Right now, the advantage of digital comics is in availability and ease of storage. Although I suppose there might be some who also prefer the digital medium for reading as well. The big market shift will come when companies lower prices on day and date digital copies. If I can buy a book for $1, I will buy every book. If they are all available about $2, I will buy a lot more than I do currently. But at $3 and $4, it just doesn't make sense for me. I like having the hard copy, and a small part of me says, hey d-bags, I know it isn't COSTING you as much to produce something digitally, so how about giving me a break? $0.02
September 30, 2011 2:26 pm Ya know, I was just thinking about the whole Logan flashback thing, and I thought, you could have him say "Cyke, it ain't worth it, we'll find a new home." And you could have Cyclops flashback to all of the different homes that have been destroyed, the mansion, genosha, the last place they had in san fran, and he just says, no, this is it, we take a stand. Also, just to point out, in the prelude, WOLVERINE AGREED WITH CYKE, that it was time to take a stand. WTF?!?
September 30, 2011 1:54 pm I also have a problem with the characterization in X-Men Schism. I think that the groundwork for Cyclops and Wolverine's positions has been lain out in other books, I don't feel like it has been properly dealt with here. How about Wolverine walks up to the beach and sees the young mutants standing there, and has flashes of all of the dead young mutants from over the years. I don't know, I like it and I hate it at the same time. I just don't want them turning Scott into a dick totally, they have to leave him grey, same with Wolvie. My real question is this, that four part prelude book I bought. WTF was that? When did that take place, and can I get my money back, please?
July 22, 2011 10:48 am @ Flash,  I agree they should be married, but cmon, if you had to pick the ONE couple in comics that should stay married?  It's gotta be Reed and Sue, anyone else is second.
