Can Comics Be Everyday?
October 4, 2011 2:11 pm Is there really some kind of misconception about comic books? Is the zeitgeist of the comics community really that of Kevin Bacon in "Footloose"? Maybe the non-comic readers just don't know "how to dance."
Are comic books really facing a stigma? I have honestly never heard the words, "comic books are for dorks", and the like, outside of someone explaining how comic books should be more popular. When I was a kid I remember the end my getting comics coincided with the price of comics going up, nothing more.

What’s Wrong With You: DC Comics Relaunch
September 30, 2011 5:30 pm Well, I'm a new reader. So, technically I'm a win for DC. A digital win, as it were. But the shiny has worn off now. Three dollars for a comic is just not my thing. And not all the comics I bought went to the zero point that I was hoping,
So, my perspective is, it was a good move even though it was not drastic enough for me. If they went to the extreme that would've made me happy, I'm sure it would have made all the fans that have been paying DC's bills all these years pretty mad.
What else could they have done?

RED HOOD AND THE OUTLAWS #1
September 23, 2011 2:07 am LOVED the art, more than any of the new 52s Iver read so far. Absolutely did not need the cheesecake Starfire, though. Is she an empowered, sexually confident role model for women or a near naked sperm receptacle? You know whats ABSOLUTELY gorgeous? The front of the prison on page 7. The lines...the details....drop dead sexy.
PS....can someone point to the girl in the red hood in this issue? I need help finding her.

ACTION COMICS #1
September 12, 2011 2:17 pm Cool, thanks for the heads up. I just found her in justice league too. She looks more feminine there. I wonder what's the deal with her.
