This is the first issue of any comic I’ve purchased in a very long time and its my first digital comic purchase ever. I’m a long time listener and fan of iFanboy but I’m a novice when it comes to comics and this is my first review of one.

JL #1 was a very quick read, using live action, I think this would have taken up about 5 minutes on screen. But I feel the story set me up adequately to understand and go along with these characters on their journey. The dialog between the characters was conversational and believable. The art was very eye appealing but I don’t feel some of the action was conveyed clearly enough.

Over all, I found the DC digital purchase to be a bit confusing at first but definitely a viable alternative to physical issues. I would not have bothered to buy this comic in physical form, so I must say I support the digital option.

I admit, I think 4 dollars is a lot of money to spend on a comic and I might not continue to purchase issues because of it.

Story: 3 - Good
Art: 3 - Good

  1. Nice review. Well done.

As far as price goes, Justice League will go down to $3 an issue going forward. This issue was over-sized (40 pages). I hope that helps a little.
