June 30, 2013 8:22 pm Yeah, Holy Shit can that guy draw! I would love to get a con sketch done in that watercolor style.
June 27, 2013 10:51 pm I like his dialogue, too. I haven't followed him on twitter, so that's good info for me to know. I'll wait and read an issue, but I'm also skeptical. I don't mind dropping SS since I can always put that $ towards another series.
June 27, 2013 11:09 am I feel like you're overreacting a little bit. The only news I found about the creator changes were specifically for issue #19. If the musical chairs situation becomes the norm, then it could be time to gripe. Yost has written the book from the beginning and I've felt less editorial interference on SS than over on Venom which I dropped for that reason. There have been various artists on SS since Stegman and none have been as awesome as he was, but they've been good. Yost's writing is what's kept this title alive for me, but if he's leaving altogether then I might be, too.
June 25, 2013 4:21 pm Word Balloons on comics covers! Hell Yeah! I'm having a flashback...
June 22, 2013 1:08 am Lotsa action in this issue. Kind of feels like it's wrapping up a few of the plot lines even while a few new mysteries are popping up. And we still don't know what the hell those "ghosts" are!
June 20, 2013 12:57 am Agreed with jasonhart. Didn't care for last issue much, but the story device and the art really clicked this time.
June 19, 2013 5:04 pm Fantagraphics changed my attitude towards comics. Goodbye & thank you.
June 19, 2013 5:01 pm I really liked the Green Lantern CGI series that recently ended even though I didn't think I would. I hope the same creative minds are behind this and that there's the same kind of season long arc that binds each episode together. By the time the GL season ended, Aya was my favorite character and I was crushed by the story developments. I already love Batman and the animation looks a lot better than the still images I saw before. I am hopeful!
June 14, 2013 11:40 pm At least the guys who cut the first trailers with all of the Terence Malick-ian Americana footage knew how make a great Superman movie. I wish that actual filmmakers had trusted their hearts enough to make the film that those trailers promised.
