August 31, 2011 10:44 am Just finished reading it and I have to say I'm disappointed. Sure the decompressed storytelling is an issue, but for me the big problem is that there is really nothing here we haven't seen before. There is very little "new" about this book. Green Lantern and Batman bicker as always, Batman is suspicious of everyone, etc. It feels like an origin book that could have come out ten years ago. Maybe it's the hype, but I was really looking forward to a fresh take on these characters, not just retreads. Hopefully I'll get this in the other 51 books.
July 19, 2011 3:56 pm I really wish the went the route of Incredible Hulk and recapped the origin in the opening title sequence, especially since the other Spidey films are so recent.  It looks okay but I'd just like to skip past him getting bit, Uncle Ben dying and Peter becoming Spider-man.
July 1, 2011 12:20 pm @ericmci  The Spider-Man with his fist in the air holding Gwen is the exact same pose from the death of Gwen Stacy issue so it fits with the image.  I realize I sound really dorky pointing this out but that image is one of those that's burned into my brain.

Did Ron buy the Cyclops yet?
June 8, 2011 10:28 am I bet millions of new readers will be flocking to their ipads for Hawk and Dove 1.  There are a lot of these new titles that I don't think will be around a year after they come out.
June 7, 2011 10:24 am I was really hoping for Tomasi on Nightwing so he could continue his excellent run with the character that was tragically cut short with R.I.P.

I hope this doesn't mean Dick is going to fade into obscurity again.  He's been such a major player in the DCU over the past few years and I'd be very disappointed to see him shuffled off to the side and forgotten.
June 2, 2011 1:46 pm What's with DC's big push to make artists into writers recently?
April 18, 2011 10:22 pm Also, it's hard for me to buy Superman putting the moves on Lois on the roof of the Daily Planet while her fiance and who at the time he believed to be their son.  Not a Superman thing to do. The only way the series could have continued would be to kill Marsden in the second film because a) Lois was going to end up with Superman and b) his son wasn't really his son. That just doesn't sound like a Superman plot.
April 18, 2011 5:01 pm It had it's moments but to me it felt like Singer had Donner's film on a tv next to his directors chair the entire time.  Constantly referencing the old material and having an homage to a scene from the original every ten minutes killed me.  I've come to like Routh in his other work (like last season on Chuck) but here he was simply being told to do a Reeve-impersonation.  Heck, I think about 50% of his dialogue was taken word for word from the original.  And I felt Spacey was completely wasted doing a Hackman impersonation.  This should have been a fresh reboot (ex. Batman Begins).
March 30, 2011 6:29 pm @ShonenRafa77  I also had an audible gasp when I flipped to the two-page spread.  I just stared at it for I don't know how long.  It was as big of a punch to the gut as I've had since the issue 48.

Kirkman, you are a sick bastard but I love you.
