August 19, 2013 3:53 pm It looks like this is the only title I'm buying this week. I dropped all my subscriptions, but Marvel is still mailing DD to me. Who can complain?

August 19, 2013 3:50 pm I'm making the major cut with Marvel this week. I'm deciding which issue of each title will be the last, and how cheaply I think I can get them as back-issues, at some future convention or half-price sale. While a cosmic Avengers event by a writer like Jonathan Hickman is exactly my kind of comics, it's also the perfect place for me to quit again. I've been a "collector" since about 1973 or 74. Just had a birthday, been buying for 40-plus years now, no more room or budget left. Time to start really selling this stuff. This is my third Reawakening From Marvel Zombie-hood. I'm down to ten titles total, all formats. Daredevil, Hawkeye, Batman, Batman & The Ghost of Robin, The Wake, Lazarus, Collider, Velvet, Black Science and The Private Eye, which will be my first digital comic when I buy it later today. In the words of Megaton Man: "Alright, so I'm back! Now I quit again!"

August 19, 2013 3:39 pm I've been meaning to drop just about everything for a while now. I'm thinking that this Infinity event is the perfect point at which to just about stop buying altogether. I can always catch up later by reading the public library's copy. Down from around 40 titles to a solid 15, and now down to 10, total, all formats: floppy, trade, and digital.

August 19, 2013 3:33 pm I forgot Battle of the Atom was coming up. I might use that as a fine jumping-off point for X-books.

August 19, 2013 3:31 pm Heard this was fun. I used to buy comic books featuring "KID COLT, TWO GUN KID and RAWHIDE KID". This looks like a title I'll order from the library.
