This was a pretty good issue. I know it’s early days with this series, and I’ll appreciate this more later in a trade-sized arc, but reading it issue-by-issue I would rate this a solid 4 on all accounts.

I like Yost’s writing, and I only feel like I’m thirty minutes into the movie, at this point, but I’m hoping to get to know more about the location and the characters soon.

Stegman’s art is nice, and the coloring is good, but again I feel like we’ve only seen the docks, the Medical Center and the signed-in-under-a-fake-name hotel rooms. It’s kind of like a movie about Houston where we haven’t seen much of Houston yet.

Again, I realize that was only issue 2. Maybe the art is Houston dead-on, and, not being from around there, I just don’t recognize it. But if they keep bringing it up, I wish they would make me feel like it’s so.

Otherwise, I loved it. Nice to see a Spider-Man with completely different Rules of Engagement. Good story. Greta art. Pretty color. Still not completely hooked, but liking what I’m seeing nonetheless.
