Name: Ian Raney

Bio: I grew up on Long Island (aka Longuyland),  learned in Michigan, and settled in San Diego.  I've been collecting comics since Justice League Europe #41, which may have led to me collecting  every Justice League comic from  DeMatteis and Giffen's Justice League #1 to Justice League of America #113 (yeah the one with Fire, Blue Devil, Ice Maiden, Nuklon, Obsidian, and the Yazz).  Currently I'm collecting more DC than Marvel but I don't take sides.  I love me some good indie books (Y, Fear Agent, Scalped), but I'm usually late to the party and end up picking up the first trade.  I'm not one for forums (I don't have time to keep checking back for response!), but glad that i can leave comments here at iFanboy.

Definitely another solid issue.  It wasn’t as exciting as I was hoping though.  I think this was ruined by the…

June 25, 2008 6:10 pm Great issue!  I just recently read all the Jack Kirby New Gods Omnibi and Morrison is really tying into that along with the New Gods seen in Seven Soldiers.  I may not know what is going on yet, but man am I enjoying the ride
June 23, 2008 8:14 pm I was wondering this book was going to magically appear again.  Did it go from a 6 parter to a 5 parter?  I just remember seeing the solicit for #5 on marvel.com and thinking...what the happened to #4.
June 19, 2008 10:53 pm I made a pact (with myself) to collect this for two months and then decide if I was enjoying it.  So far, it hasn't been anything special.  Not terrible, but not that great.

I did enjoy seeing Jose though...bring on Gangbuster!

I really want to like this comic...but I just feel underwhelmed every issue.  Not sure if its the art, the story, or the characters.  I don't want to blame the characters because I've read Justice League task force, europe, america, international and extreme justice and I enjoyed all those despite the sometimes random characters.  so I don't know.  I'll keep collecting it because I'm hoping once Duffie breaks free of this tie-in stuff it will rock...but so far I'm un-wowed.

I think its awesome how many comments there are about this book!  No matter what the comics its great to see people still talking about two great shows.

I've said it before but Angel season 5 was my favorite.  Once More with Feeling was a great episode of Buffy.

anyway, I like this comic although I don't really always get every character.  Like Gunn..I have no clue what he is talking about in this issue.  Other than that, I just love seeing these characters in continuing continuity.

June 19, 2008 10:42 pm This comic never disappoints.  I don't always know whats going on or where its going, but it never disappoints.  I think its awesome that Rictor, a non-powered mutant, has stuck around for so long.  Solid.
June 19, 2008 10:41 pm Anyone think this will be the rumored canceled title after ultimatum.  I feel like it will be done at issue 100, which is why I'm sticking around.
June 19, 2008 7:22 pm Definitely agree all the inconsistances.

But I thought it was a cool issue...because it was really messed up.  What the hell is going on?!  Drugs, death, random new characters...drugs!  UX definitely took a random right turn into madness
June 18, 2008 11:01 pm Couldn't hit up the regular store today, but swung by a random one to pick up this and DMZ.  What a solid choice sir and a solid issue as usual
