JUSTICE LEAGUE #1
August 31, 2011 2:28 am Book was ok just about what was expected for starting the new status quo, but the do Green Lantern and Superman have the same tailor? At this point in time they've never met but have the same collar thing going on? And the cuffs on the new Superman costume look like any teenage girl in any mall, a bit too long and angular. But those are small nitpicks, overall a good start.

Phil Noto Wins Art: Inhumans 1968
August 11, 2011 6:16 pm People need to let that "wife-beater" shit go. It was a couple of issues 30 years ago, part of a story where he's having a mental breakdown. No, the mental breakdown does not absolve him of anything, but that small portion of the characters legacy shouldn't define him either. Bendis brought it to the forefront, few people had thought about before he did. It's time to stop thinking of Pym as only that.

The Hulk: Where Do I Start?
July 29, 2011 1:00 am Is the list confined to TPB's only? The first volume of Masterworks Hulk has the seminal work and issue 6 has some Ditko art. The run from the 300's where he was at the crossroads trying new worlds until he found a suitable one was pretty good, the run right before the first Secret Wars where he had his intellect while green, but slowly began to lose it was good as well, and the John Byrne run while short, was excellent. Too many of these lists focus only on the recent TPB's at the expense of the overall history of the character. Half the fun in this hobby is tracking down back issues, and people have gotten away from that due to the ready availability of TPB's, both are good, but the recent trend has been to rely too much on trades and not seek out back issues. And the end result is top lists that are slanted too much to trades.

iFanboy #223 – Robert Kirkman at San Diego Comic-Con 2011
July 28, 2011 12:20 am Robert kirkman is one of the few things from a talent/celebrity angle that's right with Comic-Con. He makes time for everyone and doesn't cop the "superstar" attitude that way too many do.
