I do love the idea of digital comics. They're convenient, they don't clog up my already crammed room. But two things bother me with this offering:

1. $1.99? Really, Marvel?

2. only in the US?! That's downright ridiculous. There's just no reason to restrict the access like that.

3. no current issues? Yeah, that's great, too. Because I couldn't go out and buy the trade for the stuff that's a year old...

(Okay, that were actually three things, but who's counting, right?)

I've been asking myself this question so many times the last few weeks. Money is dire, and trades would be cheaper. But being part of the discussion (especially at my store) is also important to me. So I guess I'll have to endure the single issue route for a little while more, until Apple releases their tablet and we all life in a happy digital world. 

For three series I'd have to buy monthly:  Invincible Iron Man, Batman&Robin and Criminal. 

July 2, 2009 11:26 am That was some old school Buffy goodness, IMO. Oz's dialog was spot-on, and it's great to see the gang back together. I also feel that we'll know who Twilight is by the end of the arc. I get the feeling that this is the end of the second act in the story of Season 8, and that we should know whom the Scoobies are up against in the third one. Plus: Awesome cover!
