August 29, 2013 10:09 pm Oh, Wanda. ... Wanda, Wanda, Wanda. You will never learn. This issue was excellent. I absolutely love this title. Remender mixes epic sci fi with snappy characterization like no one else. I haven't made it through my stack yet, but this is a strong contender for my POTW. Also, the Apocalypse Twins have a holodeck. That alone makes this a 5/5.
August 29, 2013 8:37 pm I didn't love this, but I can't say I hated it either. I'll tell ya one thing, Reis's art sure helps it go down smoothly.
August 29, 2013 7:50 pm Djimon Hounsou (Korath) apparently let slip during a panel that his character was "Thanos' main guy" or something to that effect, before Feig shut him up. So if they're using him in GOTG, my guess would be that he won't appear in Avengers until the third film.
August 29, 2013 6:36 pm For a second there, I really thought we were going to see Post Cloital Thor. This was great! I'm not sure why I was bracing myself for disappointment, but I was. I should've just had faith. Aaron's Thor is the new standard by which all other Thors should be judged!
August 29, 2013 4:55 pm Really good issue. My favorite of the three. Surprisingly touching. For a minute there it really felt like Loeb's initial run on the previous S/B. Really nice characterization all around. Personally I think it's a smart move to go with a completely different style if your going it have a filler artist. Particularly if it's a flashback sequence of a different setting. I'm really hoping Jae Lee get to take a crack at Apokolips, or at least some of its inhabitants. That Darkseid page was one of my favorites. Good stuff. How bout Lee on Wonder Woman? Man, she is stunning in this book. Don't get me wrong, I love Chiang's work, but for a dramatic change of pace I think Lee's style would be really interesting with Azzarello's new pantheon. Provided he can keep a schedule.
August 29, 2013 4:48 pm Good pick, Josh. Excellent issue. My favorite of the three thus far.
August 29, 2013 2:08 pm No fair! No ties allowed! You could say I'm a ... tie fighter. I'll show myself out ...
August 29, 2013 1:25 pm Oh, fine ... Saga Thor: GOT Daredevil East of West Wonder Woman
August 29, 2013 1:21 pm I agree with Kenny G. Image is really making some waves. Just off the top of my head, I recommend: Saga, Manhattan Projects, East of West, Lazarus, Satellite Sam, and Prophet. They're currently sporting the most versatile and creative lineup in comics. I'm a lifelong DC guy, and I've dropped most of my current DC pulls for Image. Just dip your toe in. The water's fine. And yes, read Daredevil. Like right now. Go!
