Thank God and Stan and Jack for a comic where something actually happens.

March 9, 2011 10:34 am Starman is, without a doubt, the most important comic I've ever read (and I have Wizard Magazine to thank for the recommendation). If my creator-owned material ever hits the racks, you'll see how heavily Starman influenced me. I did the re-read with all the omnibuses recently, and there's a lot of wincing with the dialogue (some of it doesn't flow as readily as it should) but it does exist in a great nexus of timelessness. I own every issue, any Starman action figure (every?), and I also own a page from Ted's funeral. This book made me appreciate my dad (who had died long before the book ever came out and before I read it) more than I can say.
March 8, 2011 9:11 pm I'm an unabashed wrestling fan (Chris knows this), as anyone who follows me on Twitter on a Monday night will tell you (@incogvito, ahem). I can't understand why folks who are comic fans that don't like wrestling hate on the folks that do. Our group (comic fans) is so small, I don't understand the need to segment it more than it already is.

February 15, 2011 11:30 am I think Batman Confidential was slated for cancellation around the time that Superman Confidential went under, so it's shocking to see that it lasted this long.  Good for them.

Personally, didn't think we needed another Azrael book, but eh...what do I know?

Doom Patrol is such a great concept, it boggles my mind that no one can make it stick.  Shame.

February 14, 2011 12:45 pm @Josh, gotta point out two things:
1. That's the Mark Buckingham variant cover
2. That's Ultra, the Multi-Alien
February 2, 2011 10:56 am Josh, this is probably the most personal article you guys have ever posted, and I don't just mean on your end.  This article truly affects me because it could have easily been written by me.  It's no secret that I've been at this for 10 years, and have yet to "break out."  Without getting too far into it, let's just say that working in the store has been great in terms of meeting all the right people, but terrible because those same people all think that either I'm not serious or that I'm just a retailer.  There is much more to the story than just that, but I'll keep that to a convention drink or a one on one conversation.  So, thank you for writing this.  This article means a lot to me.

January 28, 2011 3:08 pm It's like I told Chris Arrant a few months ago when he suggested Dean Haspiel and I do Wildcat online...the script is bought and paid for by DC.  If Doc and Dan want to draw it, and I would love for them to, they can petition DC to do the script.  Doc has read it, and he apparently loves it.  Just emailed it over to Dan, so we'll see what he says.

I would tell folks to let DC know they want to see this!  They ARE taking letters now...
January 27, 2011 9:08 am Wally Wood art!  At least, I think it is.  No one does such stiff yet gorgeous panels.
January 16, 2011 6:07 pm I enjoyed the movie.  And I didn't like it because it was good or so-so. It was a lot of fun and the action scenes were fantastic.
