Believe the hype.

If you want what I call a “dumb super hero comic” (which is in no way an insult; it’s meant to embody the turning off of your brain and just reading something for enjoyment), this is the book this week.

The story is quick and to the point; bad guy versus everyone.  My wife read it first, and it was funny because we watched Lost right before she read it and I had to explain Jacob and MiB.  Her reaction upon finishing was, “I thought good guys wore white?”  This is exactly what I mean…it’s simple, the visuals are great, and I’m looking forward to the next issue.

Story: 4 - Very Good
Art: 5 - Excellent

Comments

  1. As much as I disliked this issue, I completely agree with your assessment that it is a dumb super hero comic, and that that is not necessarily a bad thing.

  2. In Lost, you don’t know if the guy wearing white is truly the good guy.  Probably isn’t and they’re playing a trick on you with the color scheme.  Looks like Mark Millar beat them to it!

    @Akamuu-Ah, reliably crazy, crazy Akamuu!!!
