I found this confounding, despite having read the “World’s Greatest” story where Millar introduced Nu-Earth. Learn to tell a story,…

January 1, 2018 5:07 pm I read "Star Wars - Canto Bight." It features four stories by four different authors all set exclusively in the casino city from Episode VIII. I think my favorite was "The Wine in Dreams" by Mira Grant. It follows a sommelier on her hunt for a rare vintage. I laughed thinking about all of the teenagers reading the book and shakily trying their best to pronounce sommelier. I struggled myself trying to unearth the name of the new character in the film that is too drunk to tell the difference between BB-8 and a slot machine. Does anyone know if that alien was played by Warwick Davis?
August 30, 2017 2:28 am Further "Born Again" foreshadowing... A newspaper headline is visible in a shot with Karen Page that reads: NEW YORK AWASH IN CHEAP HEROIN
May 7, 2017 5:15 pm DC, Warner Brothers, Patty Jenkins? I don't know who to thank, but they released a movie poster for WONDER WOMAN that reminds me of Darwyn Cooke's ever lovin' Amazon Princess in "New Frontier." Gal Gadot promises a surprise tonight at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C-38A4SXkAAVYkz.jpg
April 30, 2017 9:23 pm Great episode. Josh & Ron are very knowledgeable about comic book creators.
February 12, 2017 3:39 pm Dan Stevens is magnetic in THE GUEST. As David, he charms the family of a fallen service man while harboring dark secrets. Lance Reddick plays a man from David's past. The film was written and directed by Simon Barret and Adam Wingard. For almost ten years, those two have worked on a lot of horror films that I've loved. THE GUEST works as an action film. David is pitted against teenager Anna, and the duel between them escalates to the point that I was reminded of James Cameron pitting Sarah Conner against the Terminator. I also heard Steven's character compared to Captain America gone bad.
December 29, 2016 1:45 am I enjoyed watching Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots together in GREEN ROOM and FRIGHT NIGHT. Did they do any other films together?
November 11, 2016 1:46 am Did they write in any of Stan Lee's silly decrees for Strange like "by the hoary hosts of Hoggoth"? I'm not sure if those arcane expressions are a trademark of the character, but I found him a little staid without them. The film wasn't what I expected. With Derrickson as director, I was sure it'd be a supernatural thriller. I saw an appearance of the marvelous "Staff of One" from Brian K. Vaughan's "Runaways" in one scene where the Ancient One's students arm themselves against the villains. Maybe Marvel will integrate more from "Runaways" in "Spider-Man: Homecoming."
August 25, 2016 2:55 am I can't wait to read "Batman: The Killing Joke" - Noir Edition. I ordered it after this podcast finished.
August 14, 2016 6:56 pm I admire the design detail of stamping the word 'PRIVATE' onto a shut door in the diner in All-Star Batman. The people that dwell there have secrets.
