From what I've read in the other reviews Ed Brubaker helped to develop the plot more then be a primary writer for this issue, like his deal on the Immortal Iron Fist book. Ande Parks has been said to write the script primarily, I'm not sure if this was also the case for Daredevil Annual.

Anyway I'll give it a shot, how's the art on this issue? I saw the preview for it online, looks similar to Lark's art on the main book even though its Chris Samnee on the pencils.

Nice review, but really a 5/5 for story? Although I thought it was pretty neat, this seemed more like a bunch of preview ads for Final crisis and everything related. I thought the pacing was also rather odd at parts, with panel placement that just seemed, honestly, bizarre. I found myself going....ok...

I'm not a huge dc fan but I like to keep up with certain titles, and the barry thing I thought was done sorta poorly, anyway I thought it really was all flash no substance and really.....a nice marketing move

Anyway that was my two cents, but good review none the less man!

April 29, 2008 3:06 pm @Diabhol- Why John Stewart, the guy's been so played out, if they are going to do one, do it right, give one to Colbert.

I'm getting tight on cash, so I might have to choose between this, The Twelve, and Matt Fraction's Thor book coming out....DAMNIT...NooOOOo!

The preview looks decent, definitely has more of a scifi feel going, and I have no clue what "the blackest night" reference is supposed to be....ugh... I hope I dont have to dig through back issues.

Bonus Question: I'm looking forward to Gotham Knights more then either one really, but I have high hopes for The Dark Knight.

Iron Man....bahhh..... its all about GTA IV this week!

April 27, 2008 6:12 pm Hah man, awesome review!
April 23, 2008 4:35 pm Nice review, you mentioned the Bendis/maleev daredevil run, does this issue reference it at all? I'll definitely go ahead and pickup this tie in!

That trailler was pretty damn sick, the monologue in that is KILLER! Hmm... but how does this fare to the other comic book adaptations coming out though, show me the list!

1. The dark Knight (+gotham knight...man DEADPOOL is going to be in it!)

2. Watchmen

3.  The spirit ( it made it!)

I was skeptical after seeing those crappy(leaked) screenshots, but this trailer makes me think it'll be great!

April 21, 2008 7:34 pm I haven't touched batman after buying the rhaz al ghul run (why me?!?!?!?!!!), should I pick this issue up thinking it'll be a good precurser to the RIP stuff, or am I going to be reminded about how god awful the Rhaz Al Ghul crossover was?

Damn, I haven't followed this book at all, but after reading si #1 and loving bendis+Maleev's daredevil.... I feel....compelled to pick this up.

Can I just pick this up and go with it having really only read SI #1?
