Name: D R

Bio: Old guy with kids back into comics in 2000, manly marvel. Started just mainstream but now really enjoy more indy/non-superhero comics. I wish I could move to all trades, but I am too impatient.

Balefuego was right. Is this series ending? This issue was decent and I understood what was going on for once, but I have been thinking of dropping this for awhile. I had heard it was ending soon so if that is true, I figure I might as well hang on until the end. Maybe all the Ultimate characters are really skrulls training to fight in the 616 (for Josh) universe and secret invasion will end the line.

The first few issues of Hush were intersting and the art was great of course. But in the end, the story did turn to crap. Certainly not Absolute worthy in my opinion.

By the way, you can typically pick up Watchman on Ebay for about $50.

March 25, 2008 8:13 pm I'm realling looking forward to the Secret Invasion getting started. I really hope it pays off. I remember the furor when Bendis announced the end to the traditional Avengers and the start of the the New Avengers. It was the traditional fanboy protesting and calls for boycotts. Thankfully no one listened because I have really enjoyed this book since issue one.
March 25, 2008 8:07 pm I think Brubaker's story had great potential. Unfortunately, in my opinion it has been too decompressed and he never got me to care about Mila one way or the other. It is still a great title. In a lot of ways it may suffer because it's consistent high quality has raised expectations. Just like Captain America as was discussed on the last podcast.
March 25, 2008 7:55 pm Thanks for all the feedback. I'm going to start at Rebirth and work my way up.
March 24, 2008 9:14 pm I haver never read Green Lantern. Through iFanboy and others I have heard great things about this series. If I wanted to pick this up, how far back should I go? Rebirth? Sinestro Corp Wars? Thanks

Brubaker's run has been amazing and I can't wait to see what is next. After so many bad years, it is great to see Cap be a pertinent, well crafted title. If only Spidey was handled as well in recent times.

March 18, 2008 9:20 pm I hope things really pick up here. I have lost a little interest in this title over the past few issues.
March 13, 2008 5:18 pm Damn, iFanboy has as many events as Marvel these days. Will there be a crossover with another website?
March 10, 2008 8:26 pm I'm with you guys, I've stuck through OMD and now I'm just bored (and a lot poorer). I understand the desire they have to take Spidey back to his roots. But it just all feels forced and overdone.
