November 6, 2011 9:44 am I am loving this series to pieces. Never been a Daredevil fan. Maybe I'm still not. But I am a fan of this art, and the stories are keeping me engaged. Every issue has been gorgeous. I'm a fan.

November 6, 2011 9:41 am I will be happy when this comic loses the Fear Itself cover dressing. PLEASE. I'm a little scared of the change in status quo for this comic, because the core group and faculty was working beautifully for me, and it didn't seem like the writing was getting stale enough to merit such a huge shake-up. But why not punch it up while it's ahead? I look forward to this new direction for AA and look forward to seeing this title run from the shadow of Fear Itself.

November 6, 2011 9:39 am This storyline was a real rollercoaster, and I cannot complain about it not being tons of fun, but the ending fizzled out a bit. Sure, there was huge action and a nasty Big Bad boss battle, but I didn't gasp at any big revelations or marvel at any huge, life-altering changes. It was just, you know, a smashy, clashy, battle royale conclusion. Which is fine! But a bit of a letdown given the build-up. My most appreciated takeaway from this issue was the warm cuddlies between Peter and Mary Jane.

November 6, 2011 9:35 am Took a chance on this because I've always liked The Penguin, and this looks a bit like the current Red Skull mini-series over at Marvel, which I'm enjoying quite a bit. And sure enough, it's very much "Penguin: The Early Years", except it goes a step further by mixing the past with the present. The first issue did put me in the mindset of the very beginning of Batman Returns, which to me is a good thing. Dark, whimsical, dark, emotionally rich, and dark. And did I mention it's dark?

November 6, 2011 9:33 am Read the digital issue of this and it was great fun. I think the directional "animation" of digital comics did a great service to this comic, and it may be how I view future issues. If more DCnU comics were as edgy and fun as Animal Man, I might be impressed by the New 52.

November 6, 2011 9:31 am This series is a drag. Sad, because I started out absolutely loving the first few issues. I hope the Fantastic Four reclaims a sense of fun when the big issue 600 rolls around, because this series is just plain drab. If they don't work it out soon, I'm going to have to take another FF vacation.

November 6, 2011 9:19 am I can't get enough of the art, and I'm warming up to the stories more and more. The only New 52 series I'm buying regularly.

November 6, 2011 9:17 am The most fun I've had reading Alpha Flight since the John Byrne glory days. So ridiculous that Marvel isn't picking this up as an ongoing. The creative team is on a roll here, and they totally "get" the characters, especially Puck. If Marvel changes their mind, I'm there with bells on.
