This comic was great. I really enjoyed the fact that it stayed true to Wildstorm by being kind of vague and ambiguous, but action packed. I have true love for Jack Hawksmoor and will soon write a post about it. When I say ambiguous, I refer to the Millenial Baby concept that has carried over through Planetary and other various Wildstorm books. Superhumans created by a comet passing close to the Earth. The mystery is still very much alive. Also, the idea that the Martian Manhunter is on the JLA, but moonlights with Stormwatch for “big” jobs is believable. When you add Martian Manhunter to Stormwatch, which is kind of an amped-up JLA, it works a bit better than you might think. Martian Manhunter is a telepathic shape-shifter with super strength, flight, and phasing. He needs bigger fish to fry than T.O. Morrow. The way that writers have been keeping him grounded is by having him weak to fire. Lame. Anyways, it feels like a boring character is finding new life in new competition. Stormwatch does everything different and the last panel is surprising. When you turn the last page, you want more and wonder what will happen next!
